Windows 10 Ends

Windows 11 PC

Windows 10 End Of Lifecycle

Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System is used by many people for work, play, and all computing needs. But it will no longer be supported (End of Life/EOL) on Oct 14th 2025. That’s just 90 days, yikes! Keep calm, and carry on. But do contact us if you need help upgrading your PC’s. No one wants you to use vulnerable machines.

As much as it pains us, Microsoft insists, so we must all act now.

To be clear, your PC will still work on Windows 10 after Oct 14th, it’s just going to be open to lots of errors and viruses. We highly recommend updating or upgrading to a Windows 11 system or other modern supported system. Stop using any Windows 10 PC for anything involving personal identifying information, confidential business data, any financial information, or anything else that is sensitive or you would like to keep private from random people online.

Your Upgrade Plan

  1. Check if your PC’s have Windows 11 already.
  2. Check if the PC’s that don’t have it are eligible for the upgrade to Windows 11.
  3. Get your PC’s backed up: both data and full system images, we may have already set you up but if not we’re happy to help.
  4. Upgrade Windows for the eligible PC’s.
  5. Any PC’s not eligible to upgrade to Windows 11 you’ll need to either replace with newer hardware or use an alternative like Linux OS. We’re happy to help with all of those projects too.

Does My Windows PC Have Windows 11 Yet?

If your PC is already in our managed system we can easily check this for all PC’s you have, just let us know if you’d like help.

To see if your PC is currently on Windows 11 Find the Windows Icon (1) in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen and right click it. Then select System (2) from the menu.

You may need to scroll down in the Settings window that comes up until you see your Windows specifications. Under Edition you will want to make sure it says Windows 11 Pro. If it doesn’t say 11, then you need to upgrade. If it says Home instead of Pro you also need to upgrade, but that is an easier process we can do with a secure remote connection and doesn’t require new hardware.

Can My PC Upgrade?

Another quick way to see if your Windows 10 PC can upgrade is if you bought or built it in 2018. Most systems from that time or more recent should be able to upgrade.
