Consumer Tech Advice

Welcome to your guide to hardware, software, and everything in between in our ever evolving tech world. We provide recommendations if you should buy or upgrade, wait, or avoid troublesome products. Most importantly, we share why we advise caution or green light adoption helping you decide the best plan of action. We already consult our current clients, but everyone can benefit from general tech recommendations here.

Importantly if we ever recommend avoiding something, we will provide alternatives you might want to consider.

For each recommendation we will score the tech based on Reliability, Security, and Productivity. We will also evaluate ownership and business models commenting on who is the primary benefactor of the tech. We want you to always benefit from your tech, but not all businesses have that goal in mind.

Recommendation Scale

There’s a time and a place for all things and we will promote various solutions graded on a scale that cuts right to the action we suggest you take.

Recommended Action Scale

  • Buy/Upgrade: This is some great tech with minimal to no drawbacks. Buy it right away or upgrade the software without concern.
  • Consider Scheduling It: This tech is good, but may have some drawbacks or things to consider before making a purchase decision or upgrade action.
  • Proceed with Caution: There are more drawbacks to consider with this tech so you may want to think it through more thoroughly if it is right for you. This is also a great time to explore your other options.
  • Avoid!: This tech is fundamentally flawed. We don’t necessarily fault the tech or the developers, it’s often a business decision that works in favor of the business at the cost of you and your business.
