Wake County Public Schools:
On June 12th, Superintendent Cathy Q. Moore announced: Plan A (Minimal Social Distancing, students will attend classes on campus with increased health & distancing protocols), Plan B (Blended Learning, in person instruction limited to half capacity, some students will be in school and others in a virtual setting), Plan C (Remote Learning Only, all students will be attending school online, no students or employees on campus). Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools:
On July 30th, CHCCS Interim Superintendent Dr. Jim Causby announced that the Board of Education approved the recommendation to hold a fully virtual first semester this fall. This information came from the district website.
Durham Public Schools:
DPS is now working with the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) to provide leaders with the latest data in regards to public health and epidemiology to inform them with the most accurate and up to date information. The data gathered from these efforts will be shared with Chapel Hill and Orange County Schools. The district has announced that the first 9 weeks of the fall semester will be exclusively virtual, then there will be a re-evaluation into whether or not they can go to an in-person instruction.
